handwriting arta little piece of them, forever.
real handwriting, a child's note, a grandparent's recipe, a signature, cut into wood by hand. the doors are not open yet. leave your email and you will hear from me first.
oh lovely, you're on the list
i will write to you the day the first pieces are ready, and i will send a little note about how to photograph handwriting so yours turns out beautifully.

the very first one, olivia, age 5
a small handful of things, all made from writing that already means something to you.
their words traced exactly as they wrote them, cut from acrylic or timber and mounted on a hand painted board. crooked letters kept, always.
little ones, the size of your palm, for the place where most handwriting already lives. lovely to post to a sister.
a recipe card, a last letter, a signature. handled gently, and always sent back to you if you post the original.
three small steps, then it lives on your wall.
a photo of the note, the recipe card, the scribble on the fridge. anything.
traced, cut and sanded by hand in a little shed in thirroul.
it arrives ready to hang, or to stick on the fridge where it all started.
for a while i kept trying to work out how to hold onto this exact version of my daughter. not last year's, not next year's. this one.
it turns out her handwriting is one of the truest ways, the way she leans her letters, the way the y trails off.
so i started cutting it into wood, and soon i will make them for you too.
